every avantgarde grows old and dies without seeing its successors, because succession doesn't follow straight, but through a contradiction.

- Butch, whose motorcycle is this?
- It's a chopper.
- Whose chopper is this?
- Guy Debord's.
- Who's Guy Debord?
- Guy Debord's dead, baby... Guy Debord's dead.

Quentin Tarantino, 1994 from the film "situationist fiction

on the other hand contradiction is ageless, it lingers in dissemination. so do most forms of the avant-garde.

dissemination is the ideology of the watered down
it is the intellectual of trickle down economics as reagan put forth
a thing lives and then it dies or should be killed or should self destruct
otherwise it is disseminated and becomes(finally) another mass marketing scheme
