Stockholm inc.

The Stockholm Syndrome refers to the phenomena of a strong emotional bond which hostages develop to those who have taken them hostages. The term arises out of psychological research which followed the 1973 Swedish hostage-taking in which four Swedes were held in a bank vault for six days during a robbery. They all developed extreme feelings for their captors, to the extent of fearing those who sought to free them, and even of raising money for the hostage -takers court fees.
