Dominated from outside by linear time and from inside by the role's time, subjectivity has nothing else to do than become a thing, a valuable commodity. What's more, the process speeds up through history. In fact, the role is henceforward a consumption of time in a society where the time of consumption is the only one acknowledged. And once again the unity of oppression creates the unity of opposition. What is death today? Absence of subjectivity and absence of the present.
is it?
or is it over_abundance of subjectivity?
presence has been absent for such a long time that we can no longer talk in these terms, but the new terms have yet to be discovered/named
