Εστέτ παλιμπαιδισμοί 35άρηδων και πρόχειροι μιμητισμοί ναρκισσευόμενων φαν των Residents. Φοβάμαι πως η δουλειά των Erasers (Γ. Κωνσταντινίδης, Γ. Κακανάκης και οι συνεργάτες τους) στο μεικτό θέαμα «War is War» δεν ήταν κάτι περισσότερο από αυτό. Η ηθελημένη ελλειπτικότητα έκρυβε μια έλλειψη δημιουργικότητας, άποψης και γνώσης. Είναι θλιβερό να βλέπεις μεγάλους ανθρώπους να παριστάνουν τους πιτσιρικάδες τεχνο-freaks ταραχοποιούς «κακοποιώντας» τη Θεοδώρα Τζήμου (guest star εκείνη τη βραδιά), απλώνοντας τα σάλια τους σε ζελατίνες, κλοτσώντας πάγκους, καίγοντας μαγνητοταινίες και ουρλιάζοντας εξυπνακίστικα σχόλια στα αγγλικά, ενώ ταυτόχρονα αναλώνονται σε ναρκισσευόμενα αυτιστικά παιχνίδια με κάμερες, laptops και industrial βόμβους-ενθύμια των '90s. Το αποτέλεσμα; Ηχορύπανση, πόζα και μπόχα, σε ένα κοινότοπο, άτεχνο, παλιομοδίτικα decadence και στην ουσία ασόβαρο και αδιάφορο θέαμα για την πιο σοβαρή και σημαντική ιστορία του κόσμου, τον πόλεμο.

Οι drog_a_tek και οι Erasers εμφανίζονται μαζί για 72 ώρες στην γκαλερί Bernier/Eliades, όπου θα δημιουργήσουν ένα ζωντανό και συνεχώς εξελισσόμενο οπτικό/ακουστικό studio.
Οι drog_a_tek και οι Erasers δημιουργούν, μοντάρουν και εκπέμπουν σε πραγματικό χρόνο ηχητικά και οπτικά έργα που είναι αυτοσχέδια και αποσπασματικά. Μέσα από την παράσταση μπορεί επί τόπου ταυτόχρονα να κινηματογραφήσουν μία ταινία, να εκδόσουν ένα φανζίν, να ηχογραφήσουν έναν μουσικό ή κοινωνικό διάλογο, να ζωγραφίσουν τους τοίχους, να κάψουν τα ηχητικά και φωτιστικά συστήματα και να εφευρέσουν καινούργια.

Θυσιάζοντας τον έλεγχο, αναπτύσσουν μια ζωντανή σύνθεση και αποσύνθεση ήχων και εικόνων,
χρησιμοποιώντας ποικίλα μέσα όπως: βίντεο-προβολές/ DJ sets/ φωτογραφίες/ ψηφιακές μνήμες/ δεδομένα ιντερνέτ/ αρχειακές ταινίες/ κασσέτες/ φωτοτυπίες/ ψαλίδια/ κόλλες/ χαρτοταινίες/ βρώμικους ήχους/ μαρκαδόροι/ σελίδες/ σφραγίδες/ λουκάνικα/ αντικείμενα χωρίς ταυτότητα/ πλήκτρα/ κινέζικες απομιμήσεις/ υπολογιστές/ αλκοόλ/ δημόσιες αφηγήσεις/ μελάνια/ χαμηλής ποιότητας ηχογραφήσεις και κρυφές επιθυμίες.

Οι drog_A_tek είναι ένα ελαστικό μουσικό σχήμα που αυτοπροσδιορίζεται σε κάθε του συνάντηση· ένα
ετερόκλητο και εκλεκτικό σύνολο αυτοσχεδιαστικής αταξίας που δημιουργήθηκε το 2001 στην Αθήνα.
Ηχογραφεί στιγμές σε πραγματικό χρόνο και παράγει προσωρινά ηχητικά/οπτικά περιβάλλοντα. Αποτελεί μία ανθρώπινη μηχανή που κουρδίζει ανώμαλα ήχους και υποβάλλει το υλικό του σε ένα συνεχές copy, paste & delete. Αυτοσχεδιάζουν με όργανα, εικόνες, συσκευές και πληροφορίες, κατασκευάζοντας δημόσιες αποσπασματικές αφηγήσεις. Τυπώνουν μουσική, αφίσες, stickers, γράφουν σε τοίχους και στο διαδίκτυο. Οι drog_A_tek μέσα απο τη δεκαετή πορεία τους έχουν συνθέσει μεταξύ άλλων την μουσική για την ταινία "Χωρα προέλευσης" του Σύλλα Τζουμέρκα και εχουν παρουσιάσει έργα στο Φεστιβαλ Αθηνών, ενώ το κυρίως κομμάτι της δουλειάς τους περιλαμβάνει εμφανίσεις σε αχαρτογράφητα μέρη της Αθήνας.

Οι Erasers είναι μία καλλιτεχνική ομάδα που βασίζεται στην ενοποίηση φαινομενικά διαφορετικών καταστάσεων όπως το live cinema, ο μουσικός αυτοσχεδιασμός, οι εγκαταστάσεις, η performance και η ζωντανή δράση. Οι διαφορετικές καλλιτεχνικές φόρμες που ενσωματώνονται στις δράσεις τους, στοχεύουν στην δημιουργική ανταλλαγή εμπειριών γύρω από ένα νέο «ανοιχτό» έργο. Ο συνδυασμός διαφορετικών στοιχείων αποτελεί τον πυρήνα αναζήτησης για μια νέα ηχητική/οπτική γλώσσα. Οικειοποιούνται τις ιδιαιτερότητες και την αρχιτεκτονική του εκάστοτε χώρου που υποδέχεται τις ζωντανές δράσεις τους. Οι ιδέες σκοπίμως παρουσιάζονται σαν ένα μη γραμμικό και αποσπασματικό φαινόμενο στις ζωντανές εμφανίσεις τους, έτσι ώστε να εξασφαλίζεται η ελευθερία πλοήγησης ανάμεσα στους ήχους, τις εικόνες και το περιβάλλον που οι ίδιοι παράγουν εικείνη τη στιγμή. Οι Erasers έχουν παρουσιάσει οπτικά/ακουστικά έργα στην Αθήνα, το Παρίσι, τη Γενεύη, το Λονδίνο, το
Μοντπελιέ και στο Μπέλο Οριζόντε της Βραζιλίας.

This installation is part of the video sculpture 'Crucifixion of the Identity' for both works have to do with crosses.
The closed-circuit video installation called Observation of Observation - Uncertainty (1973) produced a self-image of the spectator that mirrored them from a different point of view but never through the laws of physical mirroring. In a similar manner to his previous work the distortion of the self through the self-representation, or more particularly the diverse expectation and novel observation of the self, generated a shifted self-consciousness.
Weibel: 'The cameras and monitors are juxtaposed in such a way that the viewers are unable to see themselves from the front, no matter how much they twist and turn. The self-observers see different parts of their bodies, but never their faces. Shut inside a room, every point in the room is the observers jailer, perspective of their deathly fate.'
